Take care of your sleeping cycle. The proverb says it all “Early to bed and early to rise”. The emphasis here is definitely on getting enough sleep for a fresh new start.

Before beginning your daily chores, sit calmly, close your eyes taking deep breaths, and analyzing your feelings and your thought process. Remember – All thoughts are not always facts. Thoughts are just thoughts. Be open to accept and acknowledge the way you feel. This will help you to understand your inner strengths and weaknesses.

Remember, a healthy mind should always be your priority. Your happiness is your priority. Choose what you can from the limited sources to keep up your mental health positive to the fullest.

Self-motivation would be the key to deal with our day to day routine. Acknowledge any tasks you do, this will help to boost your self-confidence.

Analyse the areas that create stress. This will help you to deal with it in a better way. For instance, a student may have physical symptoms like headache, fatigue. The solution should be focussing on eating habits, keeping the body hydrated, etc. Similarly emotional symptoms like anger, nervousness can be tackled by maintaining a journal, talking to closed ones, diverting the mind towards a hobby, etc.

Believe in two magical words: Visualisation (E.g.: Coming days are going to be the best) and Affirmations (E.g.: I am in good health, I am energetic). These beliefs act as a great stress reliever and leads to positive mental health.

Lastly, live a day at a time. We worry about today, tomorrow and the days to come. This worry is worthless as it will lead to anxiety and stress. The best thing to do is to stop worrying. Focus on today/now, and understand what you can control and what you can’t. We cannot possibly control what will happen tomorrow, but we can definitely make today a better day.
